On January 10, 2022, Kodak Alaris announced a new partnership with Laserfiche to offer a bundled promotion of the Kodak Alaris S2060W departmental scanner with a Laserfiche Cloud subscription. The promotion entails with each package of five or more Laserfiche licenses, customers will receive a free scanner. Promotion availability is currently North America only.  According to Leonel Da Costa, Americas regional managing director at KA, “Our partnership will provide partners and customers alike with world-class solutions and support that is unmatched in this industry.”

Based in Long Beach, CA, Laserfiche is a content services ISV with a strong mid-market presence and VAR channel. Laserfiche launched a SaaS version of its product in 2016 and it now accounts for over half of new sales in North America.

This new partnership will build on Kodak Alaris’s status as a Laserfiche Technology Alliance Partner. The organizations will work together to develop and bring to market applications that enhance employee and customer experiences, and drive enterprise wide-digital transformation. Tala Baltazar, director of corporate relations at Laserfiche further highlighted the partnership by stating “Kodak Alaris’s industry expertise and proven product performance make it a natural fit for Laserfiche’s suite of content services.”

Infosource Insight

Kodak Alaris is consistently a market leader within the departmental scanners segment in North America. This bundled promotion with Laserfiche provides their channel partners an opportunity to up-sell to cloud services, a natural progression for many resellers. In addition, while Kodak Alaris  is currently offering the bundled promotion with their wireless S2060W scanner today, it would be in KA’s best interest to expand this promotion to include integration with their Infuse smart connected scanning solution in the near future.  From our perspective this is a win-win for both KA and Laserfiche and their partners alike. In 2022, Infosource predicts we will continue to see an expansion of integrated cloud-based solutions from hardware scanner vendors and Capture ISVs.
