Editor and Publisher Moves to Analyst Role

May 8, 2020  (Geneva, Switzerland) – Infosource a leading analyst company covering the office automation market, announced that it has acquired the Document Imaging Report (DIR). DIR is the leading news publication in the capture and ECM market. With the acquisition, long-time Editor and Publisher Ralph Gammon joins Infosource as a Senior Analyst.
“Acquiring DIR helps round out our offerings, bringing onboard a publication to complement our expert document-centric hardware and software market analysis,” said Johann Hoepfner, Managing Director of Infosource. “Gammon has been working with us as a regional manager, helping us expand our Americas coverage, focused primarily tracking scanner shipments. We believe his overall knowledge of the hardware and software industry will be valuable in his new role as Senior Analyst.”
Gammon joins the Infosource software analyst team, working alongside Mike Spang and Harvey Spencer. “We welcome Ralph to our team,” said Spencer, Vice President of the new Capture Software Division of Infosource. “It is going to be an exciting move for him transitioning from a role of reporting the news to analyzing and projecting the future as an analyst.”
Mike Spang, Director of Research, Capture Software, said, “Ralph brings years of industry experience to the analyst position and we are happy to have him as part of our Business Research team.”
Infosource has appointed Fiona Macbeth as Managing Editor of DIR and Bryant Duhon as Editor in Chief. Macbeth, based in the U.K., has been an analyst with Infosource for nine years specializing in the MFP and printer markets in EMEA. Previously, she worked with the market intelligence organization, epMI, where she was involved with all aspects of its consultancy work, including its monthly PrintView publication. Duhon spent 15 years as an editor for AIIM (Association for Intelligent Information Management) in Washington, DC. Hoepfner will take over the role of Publisher.
Initially, DIR will continue with the same format and publication schedule. Going forward, Infosource plans to incorporate its worldwide analyst team, as well as the expertise of its new editors to modernize and improve the publication.
“I have really enjoyed spending the past 20 years as the editor and publisher of DIR and it has enabled me to meet a great many wonderful people,” said Gammon. “Now is the time to take the next step in my career, and I am excited to be able to make this move.”
