PaperVision® Forms Magic Technology Honored by Buyer’s Laboratory

Greenwood Village, CO – July 26, 2016 – Digitech Systems is pleased to announce that the PaperVision Forms Magic Technology, a component of PaperVision® Capture, has been recognized by Buyer’s Laboratory (BLI) for Outstanding Achievement in Innovation.

Buyer’s Laboratory is the world’s leading independent product evaluator specializing in the ECM and imaging industries. BLI analysts and experts have been reviewing the PaperVision Forms Magic technology, which classifies documents and extracts critical business data as the documents are being scanned. In bestowing the award, these experts cited the product’s innovative artificial intelligence engine, ability to “learn” document types, and the unique approach to document identification and data extraction as groundbreaking technologies that make a business-critical difference to offices and workgroups.

“Seeing the PaperVision Forms Magic Technology in action, we were instantly impressed. It’s like facial recognition for documents. This means files at first unfamiliar to the classification engine can be recognized, parsed and slipstreamed into the appropriate document workflow, greatly reducing the number of exceptions that need to be dealt with manually. Simply put, it is unlike any recognition technology BLI has seen to date among leading document workflow solutions.”, said Jamie Bsales, Director of Office Workflow Solutions Analysis Buyer’s Laboratory

The Outstanding Achievement in Innovation Awards allow BLI’s experienced analysts and lab technicians to recognize products that stand out for a breakthrough in technology, a unique feature or other noteworthy innovation that moves that class of product forward. Other Innovation Award recipients include Samsung and Xerox.

“We are honored to receive this Outstanding Achievement in Innovation Award from Buyer’s Laboratory,” said HK Bain, CEO of Digitech Systems. “In creating the PaperVision Forms Magic Technology, we started by asking ourselves why the existing forms processing technologies only accurately classified documents about 70% of the time when the human eye almost always gets it right. Considering the problem from a new angle led to the artificial intelligence breakthrough in the Technology. When combined with PaperVision Capture, the PaperVision Forms Magic Technology will simplify the process of going digital for organizations, because it eliminates most of the manual effort associated with sorting documents by type and hand-keying index values. It’s a real time and money saver especially for paper-intense areas like Accounts Payable.”
