Kofax Enables First-of-its-Kind Solution to Unify Student Records Across Multiple Higher Education Entities

Irvine, CA, May 16, 2017  – Kofax®, a leading provider of software to simplify and transform the First Mile™ of business, today announced that North Dakota University System (NDUS) has consolidated student records from two research institutions, four regional universities and five community colleges into a single, secure content management platform using Perceptive ContentTM software. This implementation allows NDUS to provide its staff with shared access to all student information, increasing their productivity, freeing them to better focus on student services and reducing information system costs.
With several instances of Perceptive Content already deployed, NDUS had successfully managed student information independently, but sought to deploy the platform more broadly. Working with Kofax, NDUS leveraged the Perceptive Content platform to unify operations across its 11 campuses, enabling a faster, simpler exchange of student records, increasing data security and reducing costs. With the migration and onboarding phase complete, NDUS is now focused on creating workflows to streamline daily processes and roll out Perceptive TransForm software, which will enable its staff to rapidly convert paper forms into digital documents. Teams across different departments and campuses at NDUS are now able to access and share information more quickly and consistently, which saves money and boosts productivity.
“Bringing all of our institutions onto the same platform helps our teams to work together much more effectively, and allows them to deliver an even better student experience,” said Madhavi Marasinghe, director of enterprise services at NDUS. “Several of our institutions have identified ways to improve certain processes and, as a result, are working with greater efficiency than ever before.”
“Kofax is focused on enabling customers to perform their jobs more efficiently,” said Reynolds C. Bish, Chief Executive Officer of Kofax. “By moving to a centralized content management platform and shared workflows, teams across North Dakota University System now have the access they need for much faster and more reliable information sharing — throughout the organization — for greater student advantage.”
