St. LOUIS, Missouri – May 2, 2017 – KnowledgeLake, an innovator of document processing solutions, announced that effective May 1, 2017, it will assume all business related to PaperStream Server as a result of the business consolidation into one subsidiary under PFU America Group Management, Inc. KnowledgeLake will become the sole developer and distributor of PaperStream Server following the transfer of business from Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), another PFU group company.
“We have made a significant investment into the PaperStream Server document imaging platform, as it is the foundation for our future software development and innovation,” said PFU Limited Corporate Vice President, Kazuhiko Makimoto. “Consolidating both the sales and development of PaperStream Server into KnowledgeLake aligns with our goal of having KnowledgeLake lead the strategic software solutions business for our company.”
PaperStream Server helps organizations collect, process, and store business-critical content in various ECM or line-of-business systems. KnowledgeLake has been building intellectual property on the PaperStream Server platform since 2016 and released its version, Capture Server Professional 1.5, in September at the Microsoft Ignite conference, emphasizing its SharePoint integration.
Moving forward, the PaperStream Server brand will be absorbed into the overall KnowledgeLake brand. Existing PaperStream Server customers will gradually be upgraded to KnowledgeLake’s Capture Server Professional solution. KnowledgeLake also plans to offer a private-labeled option for channel partners.
“With KnowledgeLake’s focus on serving clients with new and innovative document solutions, we are excited about the potential this opportunity brings,” said KnowledgeLake Chief Executive Officer, Bernie Schweiss. “Being a part of the Fujitsu network of companies enhances our ability to offer more comprehensive document process automation offerings for both clients and partners.”
KnowledgeLake will assume the following assets as part of the PaperStream Server business transfer: PaperStream Server customers, sales pipeline, partner channel relationships, marketing materials, marketing databases related to the PaperStream Server business, existing PaperStream Server deployments and associated accounts receivables, maintenance contracts and support services.
KnowledgeLake plans to expand its team to accommodate the business opportunity, which will include employment opportunities for roles such as Channel Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Representatives and pre- and post-sale System Engineers.
FCPA will continue to support its other PaperStream solutions, including PaperStream IP, PaperStream Capture & PaperStream Capture Pro, which are integrated with fi-series scanners.
